DN-DJ Shield is a water-based and solvent-based dual-purpose thin intumescent fire coating fully compliant with GB 14907-2018. Upon exposure to fire, it rapidly expands into a dense thermal insulation carbon foam to help protect steel against high heat, extending fire resistance duration, while providing a smooth decorative finish for visible steel structures.
DN-DJ Shield complies with the strict national fire-coating standard GB 14907-2018 and provides reliable fire resistance of up to 2 hours at a 2.2 mm film thickness. Under flame exposure, it rapidly expands into dense, heat-insulating carbon foam, helping to limit high-temperature heat transfer and reduce the risk of steel structural collapse—supporting critical evacuation time. With a strong bond strength of ≥0.15 MPa and excellent resistance to water, acid, alkali and thermal cycling, the coating remains intact without blistering, peeling or cracking, delivering long-term, durable fire protection on all primed steel substrates.
Unlike thick, unsightly fire mortars, DN-DJ forms a smooth, decorative thin layer—ideal for visible steel structures in malls, stadiums and transit hubs. It supports spray, roller and brush application. In a single spray pass, it achieves a thickness of 5–8 mm, with multi-coat intervals of only 6–8 hours to accelerate construction schedules. With consumption of just 1.0–1.2 kg per square meter per mm, it helps reduce overall material costs and shorten project timelines for industrial, commercial and transportation steel projects of all sizes.
